As part of the week long event "TOgether - tribute to the Theatre of the Oppressed", organised by the Municipality of Halandri Greece, the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network, the University of Peloponnese - Department of Theatre Studies and the TO Activist Group in collaboration with the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation
Exploring the historical foundations of the contemporary crisis, the show invites the audience to wonder what a different future for Europe would look like. The show talks about the story of a middle-class family who has been affected by the austerity measures imposed by governments and by the pressure for more profit by the banking sector. Hotel Europa invites the public to activate itself and to intervene in the dramatic plot, so as to explore specific alternatives to the problems presented on stage. The play has been presented in many European cities and for the first time in Greece by the distinguished jokers of the Theatre of the Oppressed, who are members of the international network TOgether.
