organised by the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr)

“Movement Reading” is an informal experimenting method of how text can come to life by reading the “movement words” in it.It is part of an artistic and educational research of the choreographer Antigone Gyra to re-invent ways of approaching all kinds of texts and finding ways of choreographing them without being too narrative or too abstract. The first part of the workshop is a soft warm up of the bodies whereas at the second part, the participants will improvise and create short movement scenes deriving from different kind of texts, using a specific way of Kinetic reading. It is a workshop for teachers, performers and creators.Comfortable clothes and soft shoes or socks are recommended.
