THEATRE SUMMER CAMP 2022 - CHILIOMODI GREECE

MAIN (Youth) SEMINAR for people 18-24 years old
24-29 August 2022

"What - when - how? Me too? We too?"

George Moschos, youth group animator, adult educator, lawyer, former Ombudsman for Children

Because we still remember what it is like to be a child and what you expect to happen in a group you participate in .... Because we loved the hours we spent in theater groups and workshops ... As a Youth Group for Theater in Education, we share ideas and tools that can make all children - members of a theater group actively participate, be heard and be protagonists. Our goal is to organize our materials and present them later to teachers - animators working with children. The workshop will take place if at least 8 interested persons aged 18-24 are gathered.

George Moschos studied law in Athens and criminology (M. Phil) in London. He has been trained through seminars in self-awareness, adult education, organization of youth clubs and drama for children. He has been working, animating and supporting children and adolescents threatened by social exclusion, defending youth rights and training professionals and volunteers in his fields of expertise. He was appointed as the first Children’s Ombudsman in Greece (Deputy Ombudsman for Children’s Rights) and served in this position until January 2018. He has been member of board and chairperson of the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children. As a children’s rights expert he has collaborated with the Council of Europe and many other organisations. He has been coordinating drama workshops for children since 1985. He is a founding member of Initiative for Article 12 UNCRC (InArt.12), an association aiming to strengthen and disseminate the right of children to freely express their views. He is a certified trainer of the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government.
