The project's purpose is to overcome the obstacles in the way of teaching and learning mathematics at EU level.

TMP proposes to originate a creative response on anti-democratic forces in European societies.
The consortium of partners considers it is extremely important that youth workers working with young Europeans are able to use creative tools to question how populists and extremists  try to manipulate them.

 


"Why violence?"

Theatre-in-Education project about violence and coexistence in school.
The project will be implemented in twelve schools of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, in six primary and six secondary schools, in the school year of 2024-2025.

Theatrical performance & drama pedagogy project

In collaboration with the Municipal Regional Theatre of Patras, it will take place in schools of Achaia region between October and November 2024.


 

The 4 colours

Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-GR) participates in the international campaign "The Revolution's Promise" since December 2023,  when the israeli occupation forces attacked yet again the Freedom Theatre in the Western Bank of occupied Palestine, committed vandalism and arrested members of it.

 

 

 Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-GR) and the Project for the Promotion of Self-help of Aristoteleian University of Thessaloniki collaborate for the development of actions based on the Theatre of the Oppressed and Forum Theatre.

The play debates issues such as solidarity, acceptance of “the other” and dealing with xenophobia. It addresses teenagers, teachers and members of the broader educational community and attempts to set the participants against personal and social attitudes, ideals, wishes and responsibilities, inviting them to intervene during the performance and offer solutions.

A Drama Pedagogy Project for gender equality and the approach to the dimensions of gender violence with theatre and dance techniques


 

The action called "The Quarantine Monologues" aims at voicing the emotions and views of teenage refugee residents of a series of accomodation facilities across Greece, during the temporary, general lockdown that was induced by the COVID19 pandemic in the period between March and May 2020.


 

"The Quarantine Dialogues: names, stories, poems - TOGETHER" is an action directed to teenagers from the refugee and local population by the Hellenic Theatre / Drama & Education Network, with the collaboration of UNHCR in the context of the "TOGETHER" action of the project "it could be me; it could be you".


   

Aegean Monologues

​The Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network in cooperation with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association - IDEA and with the support of UNHCR Greece have set March 21st, 2017, as the International Action Day for the "Monologues across the Aegean Sea." Artistic events, performances, public readings, school festivals and youth events will take place around the world on the said date on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

The "Reading Club" is an action that started in 2019 with the initiative of the Northern Greece Office and continues to take place in several other areas.

A series of experiential Drama Pedagogy workshops aimed at Theatre Professionals, in the context of the project "Theatre, Education and Society", which was organised by the Adolescent Scene of the National Theatre


 


"Together"

With the view to create opportunities and preconditions for coexistence and meeting between local student population and refugee children accommodated in different locations and facilities, joint creative actions are designed and promoted by the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) and UNHCR Greece.

These include activities such as common art workshops for local and refugee youths, visits to museums, street happenings, attendance to music, dance and theatre performances etc. Such activities can facilitate intercultural communication, breaking the ice between the two populations, fighting fear and stereotypes, while mitigating the sense of marginalization among the refugee population.


 

 

"I didn't mean it!" draws tools from performance and applied theatre in order to invite the audience, both women and men, to create together the dramaturgy of 4-minute video in live broadcast.


 

 

 

Antigone: words and acts

Four-hour long, independent, experiential, live workshops in Athens and other cities as well as online lectures-discussions where issues of stage performance, musicality, rapport with traditional songs, rhythm, civility and social theatre are approached. Educational materials and ways of using them will also be presented.

The Walk

A 3,5 meter high puppet with the form of a 9-year-old refugee girl will travel for 8.000 klm, crossing Turkey and Europe, from July to November 2021. 

The Walk with Amal is a mobile - peripatetic arts festival where a multitude of state, humanitarian and artistic institutions and organisations participate, from European as well as Asian countries under the auspices and coordination of Good Chance from the United Kingdom.


 

The young participants had the opportunity to work in teams, to do a series of drama and dance workshops but also other cultural activites, with the aim to acquire relevant skills and come into contact with good practices for the empowerment of a mixed group and the teaching of techniques of motion and speech.

From May 2017 to December 2020, in collaboration with Action Aid Hellas, at Epikentro (Epicenter) space, 28 Drama Pedagogy projects were designed and implemented (515 experiential workshops) with an outreach of 1.850 persons. 


 

  

The purpose of “TIM – Theatre in Mathematics” is to face the main obstacles in the way of teaching and learning mathematics at EU level. It aims to improve mathematics teaching and learning, in particular providing a new methodology – the TIM Methodology – to teach mathematics using  the theatre workshop and drama.

 

"Global Curiosity is a partnership between three European partners: in UK (Curious Minds), Greece (The Hellenic Theatre/Drama and Education Network -TENet-Gr) and Poland (The Malopolska Institute of Culture in Krakow). All three partners share the belief that there is a pressing need for young people to be able to think critically, behave compassionately and act democratically. We also believe that creativity and curiosity are vital to this."


 

Pilot action of intercultural education in the arts and techniques of video, photography, editing, interviewing, script writing and representation.

The action aims at empowering young people, facilitating social coexistence and inclusion. It creates a safe environment in which young people have the opportunity to interact, share ideas, experiences, techniques, reflect on issues that concern themselves and their communities, to explore them collectively in artistic ways and means and to express their own proposals for social justice.

The local network/collaboration of schools «Videomuseums» is implemented in East Attica Secondary Education Directorate as an action within the project  "Education & Audiovisual expression: photo-cinema".

It aims to create and develop processes that lead to the production and exchange of audiovisual messages and the creation of "videomuseums".

mPPACT - Methodology for a Pedagogy
with the Student and Performative Arts in the Center

The program is related to the theme of «identity» in a Europe that is constantly changing. The world is transformed economically, socially and culturally through the process of globalization. Education and teachers in all European countries are in turn facing these huge changes. Behavioral models are changing, and it is obvious that teacher-centered methods are completely ineffective for student development. Children and young people should be trained in such a way that they are able to cope with the challenges of "tomorrow" and to perceive "different".

The aim of the network is to encourage and facilitate high school students to write poems, short stories or plays.

The responsibility of man as a member of an egalitarian state, the search and the rendering of law, the consequences of actions, the momentum of youth, the limits of society, issues that have preoccupied man since the beginning of his conscious life will come alive from the school book to the stage of theatre and within the classroom of the school, turning Antigone of Sophocles into a work that speaks for today.


 

A Youth In Action 4.3 Project organised by Asociación Cazalla Intercultural, Spain

The aim of the TC is that of giving support in starting a new thematic of youth exchanges that would promote the defending and promoting of the human rights, the fighting against discrimination, racism and xenophobia through the street theatre, and that would develop the participants/ competences (knowledge, abilities and attitudes) of combining these two working areas that are almost never put together in training projects of European dimension.


 

Gaza Monologues

in collaboration with Ashtar Theatre in Palestine

From November 2009 to April 2010, with the help of a drama pedagogue and a psychologist, 32 young people and young people of 13-17 years in Gaza edited and recorded as monologues their experiences, thoughts, hopes, dreams and fears during and after the invasion and war in December 2008. The approach was made with the help of techniques of the Theatre of the Oppressed of Augusto Boal, Dramatherapy and Storytelling.


 

Lysistrata and the war

International project 2003

On 3/3/03 around the world, tributes were made to the anti-war work of Aristophanes. Artists, students, universities, troupes, clubs, simple groups joined voices against the war with the help of "Lysistrata".

In this program children are involved in the process of shooting a film. The aim of the program is to familiarize students with the means and techniques of both theater and cinema through playing and to experience the joy of creation, of teamwork and cooperation.

How easy is it to change a situation; Heroes are who they are and their opinions hardly change. But if things were handled a little differently, would the future be any less bleak? The children identified with the protagonist of the play, a teenager who likes modern music and is crazy about football and tried to help him in the problem he is facing. "All I want is for you to respect my options" he yells at their faces. "I hear me. Are you listening to you?" he asks by claiming communication.
