Duration: 3hours
A workshop focused on the testimonies of the Kalavrita Holocaust on December 13, 1943 with the aim of intercultural education and historical empathy. The theatrical approach of this important historical event proves that the acquisition of knowledge acquires new dynamics, promoting the principles of experiential learning.
The proposed theatrical-pedagogical program includes a set of educational activities which are implemented according to the principle of self-action, exploration and active-participatory learning. It is addressed to teachers of all levels and every active citizen.
Participants are kindly requested to come in comfortable clothes and playful mood!
Giouli Douvou was born and lives in Patras Greece. She studied Theater at the University of Patras w2here she also received pedagogical training. Graduate of the Master Degree of the University of Peloponnese, School of Fine Arts, Department of Theater Studies titled “Dramatic Art and Performing Arts in Education and Lifelong Learning” (MA in Drama and Performing Arts in Education and Lifelong Learning), specialization in intercultural education. She directs and facilates the Theatrical Workshop of the Municipal and Regional Theater of Patras. Co-creator, in 2006, of the theatre laboratory “Epi drasei (In action)” for children and adults. She works in Primary, Secondary and Post-Secondary Education for 18 years. She facilitaes teacher training seminars and many pedagogical-theatre programmes. She has participated and organized seminars and master- classes on acting, directing, team building, drama teaching, drama therapy. She has designed and facilitated many pedagogical-theatre programs and she has collaborated in professional theatrical performances as dramaturge.
