Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Mitsika Ioanna

Choreographer, dancer, Greece

Ioanna Mitsika, Choreographer-dancer. She is a member of Vis Motrix dance company, of the Theatrical Research Center in Thessaloniki and an associate of the musical group Encardia. She has worked for the National Theater of Northern Greece (ΚΘΒΕ ),the Romanian National Operetta Theater Ion Dacian, while she choreographed and performed in the Athens and Epidaurus Festival (the Minor Theater of Ancient Epidaurus), the Piccolo Teatro de Milano, the Recontres Musicales de Mediterrannee Festival in Corsica and the Opera House of Athens and Thessaloniki.  
She is a teacher in the Drama School, Andreas Voutsinas, while she has also taught in the theatrical workshop of ΚΘΒΕ, the Fine Arts secondary school of Ameplokipi and the 3rd Second Chance School (ΣΔΕ) of Diavata prison. She is a member of the Hellenic Theater/Drama and Education Network, where she participates as an educator in the program, “it could be me – it could be you”. 
She is a graduate from the Higher Dance School of Thessaloniki municipality, while she holds a Law degree from the Aristotle university of Thessaloniki and a post graduate degree in Labor Law from Thrace University (ΔΠΘ). She is now a PhD candidate in the Department of Social Anthropology of the University of the Aegean, doing research into Art in Prison.
