Venieri Foteini

Venieri Foteini

Theatre theoretician, museum theatre professional, Greece

Foteini Venieri is adjunct lecturer in Μuseum Studies at the Ionian University and in Theatre Studies at the Hellenic Open University. She is also a founding member of the “Heterotopia” Museum Theatre Company. She holds a PhD in Museum and Theatre Studies from the University of Thessaly, an MA in Cultural Management from Panteion University and a BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Athens.
Her PhD dissertation focuses on Museum Theatre and the use of theatre and theatrical techniques as interpretive means in museums and heritage sites. 
Her interests include: researching, designing, implementing and evaluating museum theatre and educational drama programmes, training of museum theatre professionals and counselling on heritage interpretationstrategies.
