A workshop focused on the social tool of improvisational and spontaneous playback theatre.
We give voice and form to stories shared by the group—real experiences, thoughts, and personal narratives.
We focus on the role of the performer, which complements the roles of the conductor and musician in a playback performance.
Participants will get to know playback forms: performative structures that highlight the content and essence of a story.
We explore how an unscripted, undirected performance is co-created, and examine our relationship with the audience.
We discover how different perspectives within a single narrative can be illuminated.
By investigating collective identity and the freedom of individual differentiation,
we share moments that reveal creative expression and group connection—building trust, embracing dynamic interaction, and practicing active listening through our expressive means.
The threads and networked connections of the group, which lead to a collective flow of associations, help shape a shared space of coexistence and empathy.

From a young age, Christina Stouraiti loved observing children and discovering the most liberating ways to play and express themselves. She grew up on the island of Rhodes, in a family that loved traveling and embracing change. This taught her how to build solid “little homes” wherever she went. After finishing school, she began her own journey of exploration. She studied Early Childhood Education (Department of Early Childhood Education, University of Ioannina), Theatre Play (School of Play, Athens), and Applied Theatre (Central School of Speech and Drama, London).
Her favorite wish—borrowed from a small child—is: “I want to play forever! Can I?” And she feels lucky that her work allows her to live that wish nearly every day. She plays theatre games and puppetry, sings and dances, and continues to explore the secrets of Improvisation, which never fails to amaze her. She trusts and defends the power of play at all ages, firmly believing it belongs to everyone.
She has been playing and learning Playback Theatre since 2007, as a performer and a facilitator.
