SHORT DESCRIPTION
The workshop is a form of meeting on the occasion of singing, during which you get to know experientially the nature of choral function on a group level.
Through the physical approach of singing, we will deepen the connection between voice and body and search for the internal pulses that emerge and transmute into an external rhythm.
Through the flow of movement and breathing, we will awaken concentration and alertness in order to cultivate group coordination.
Our goal is to gradually create a mutual sense of "listening/responding", so that rhythms and melodies echo among and around the bodies.
Conditions of participation: Comfortable clothes.
The workshop includes exercises with possible physical contact.
Aris Biniaris is a director who explores how contemporary musical trends and visual technologies can coexist in the field of art, along with what the theatrical present moment contains. Until now, his performances have highlighted poetic works as both theatrical and musical events, where music and theatrical action become a vehicle for the audience to come into contact with a dramaturgy that seeks to highlight issues of personal freedom and social dogmatism. Through his performances he aims to create an organic circulation between rhythm and musicality, so that viewers-listeners can perceive the inner vibrations of the meanings of a work.
