Complementary workshop for adolescents

A teenage workshop that explores issues of self-image, self-awareness, and social behavior through exercises and improvisation.
It draws on ideas and experiences from the Youth Empowerment & Support (YES) Program of the Initiative for the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents.
George Moschos studied Law in Athens and earned an M.Phil. in Criminology in London. He has received further training in self-awareness and relational skills, adult education, youth center management, and theatre-in-education for children. He has worked extensively to empower and support children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion, to promote youth rights, and to train professionals and volunteers in his fields of expertise. In 2003, he was appointed as Greece’s first Children’s Ombudsman (Deputy Ombudsman for Children’s Rights), a position he held until January 2018. He served as board member and chair of the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children (ENOC). As an expert in children's rights, he has collaborated with the Council of Europe and numerous other organizations. Since 1985, he has continuously facilitated theatre workshops for children. He is a founding member of PROTA.12 (Initiative for Article 12), which aims to strengthen and promote children's right to freely express their views. Since June 2022, he has been working with the Initiative for the Mental Health of Children and Adolescents, coordinating the YES youth participation program.
Dimitris Konetas studied Computer Engineering and Informatics at the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras. He holds a Master’s degree in Informatics and Education Studies from the Hellenic Open University, as well as a degree in Educational Studies from ASPAITE (School of Pedagogical and Technological Education).
He has served as General Secretary of the Board of the Hellenic Informatics Union. As a freelancer, he has worked as an IT consultant, information systems manager (especially for libraries), project leader in numerous national and EU programs, and training coordinator for staff development. His primary academic interest—and the focus of most of his publications—is in educational technology. He teaches in secondary education in Ioannina, at the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences of Epirus, and at the Center for Talented Youth (CTY-Greece) of Johns Hopkins University. He is an ambassador for the Safer Internet Academy, and has coordinated numerous programs in the Epirus region, including: Acting as Citizens, Care and Act, You and Me Together: Learning about Human Rights, ABC of Economics, Eco-Schools, It could be me - it could be you…, Youth Empowerment and Support (YES). He has served as Vice President of the Board of the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) and has coordinated over 100 educational programs—international, cultural, health education, equality, career development, innovation, environmental education, and volunteerism.
