Coetzee Marié-Heleen

Associate professor, acting head, Drama Department, University of Pretoria, South Africa

Marié-Heleen Coetzee is an associate professor and acting head of the Drama Department, and Chair of the Arts Cluster, at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Her research interests include drama/theatre-based pedagogies and embodied learning in performance praxis. She has presented papers and workshops at national and international conferences, contributed to scholarly publications and presented productions and lectures at various platforms. She is the editor of the special edition of SATJ on embodied knowledge(s), embodied pedagogies and performance, a regional editor of the Theatre Times Magazine and a member of the editorial board of the newly established Journal of African Theatre, Film and Media Discourse.
