Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Dionisis Pavlou

Dionisis Pavlou

Educator, director, Refugee Education Coordinator

Dionisis Pavlou was born in Poros island. He studied Mathematics at the University of Patras and Social Anthropology and History at the University of the Aegean. He lives in Lesvos island and works as a teacher of Mathematics in secondary education. He participated as actor and director in student theater groups and he has attended several drama in education seminars. As a teacher he has created theater groups with his students and run workshops and presentations. He has been involved as a volunteer in solidarity groups for the refugees that pass through Lesvos island, helping in hosting and education. Since 2016 he has been working as Refugee Education Co-ordinator for the Greek Ministry of Education in the RIC of Moria and in the Kara Tepe Accommodation Center for Refugees in Lesvos.
