"Improvisational Interactive Theater Workshop, Playback theatre"
Christina Stouraiti
MA in “Applied Theatre” (Drama in Education and Theatre in the Community), Playbacker
This Workshop is offered in Greek language
This workshop is an introduction to PLAYBACK THEATRE.
Playback Theatre is interactive and improvisational, where there is no specific script
and the audience is the protagonists. The audience shares experiential stories that become the material on which the actors and the musicians improvise, through specific theatrical forms. The conductor is the channel of communication between the audience and the actors. Purpose: Through the expression and sharing of the audience's personal experiences and the different perspective with which they are rendered by the actors, the audience revives and discovers new aspects of their own experiences.
Christina Stouraiti is a graduate of Preschool Education from the University of Ioannina, Greece. She has a MA in “Applied Theatre” (Drama in Education and Theatre in the Community), from Central school of Speech and Drama in London, U.K. She has been working on Educational projects, Playing Through Theatre workshops, and Puppetry in various settings of schools, theatres and cultural institutions, within education and the community in Athens. During the last decade she has been creatively involved in Puppet Shows for children and adults in Greece and abroad.
