Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Grollios Giorgos

Grollios Giorgos

Professor, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece

George Grollios was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. He studied Pedagogy at the Department of Primary Education in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he finished his Phd (1995) and, now, he teaches as a Professor at the same Department. Before (1985-1999), he had been a teacher in Greek State Education for 14 years. He is author and co-author of five books about a) the European programs for education, b) the scientific activity of Greek teachers, c) an adult literacy program based on Paulo Freire’s pedagogy at the “Ulysses School for Immigrants” in Thessaloniki, d) the Paulo Freire’s view on the curriculum and e) Progressive Education and the curriculum. Also, he is author and co-author of about 70 articles published in Greek and international journals and edited volumes, mainly on Pedagogy and Curriculum.
