Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Polyviou Eleni

Polyviou Eleni

Greek language and literature teacher, drama facilitator, Cyprus

Eleni Polyviou has a Bachelor’s Degree on Greek Philology and a Master’s Degree on Applied Drama. She is currently a PhD candidate on Educational Sciences (Drama in Education). As a drama facilitator, she has applied a variety of theatrical pedagogical programs to children aged 3-18 in schools and organizations, while she has experience in Drama in education & community. She has facilitated drama workshops to teachers at the Theatrical Organization of Cyprus and participated as a researcher in the Pan-Hellenic Theatrological Congress 2017 entitled "Theatre and Otherness" as well as in the 3rd Pan-Hellenic Scientific Conference IAKE "Humanities, Education, Society and Political Education". She has also participated in programs of the Cyprus Youth Organization and other European programs. On a voluntary basis, she was been a member of the Playback Youth Theater group as a facilitator of applied drama, and has implemented workshops using drama as social intervention in Prison and young Offenders schools.
