Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Katsaridou Martha

Dr., Theatre/ drama pedagogue, fellow teacher (member of specialized and laboratory teaching staff), School of Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece

Martha Katsaridou is a Fellow Teacher (Special Teaching Staff) at the School of Drama, Faculty of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki AUTh (2017). She has studied Pedagogy (School of Primary Education, AUTh, 2000) and acting (Centre of Drama Research, Thessaloniki, 2000). Recipient of the Onassis scholarship, she has studied Theatre in Education (MA, Goldsmith’s College, University of London, 2002). Her PhD thesis (School of Primary Education-AUTh) was completed in 2011.She has worked as a teacher in Primary Education (2003-2017). She is a visitor tutor at the Master course “Theatre Studies”, Open University of Cyprus since 2014. She has taught the course “role play” at the Department of Early Childhood Care and Education, ATEI of Thessaloniki (2014-2017). She has designed drama workshops for the Museum of Byzantine Culture, the International Puppet and Mime Festival of Kilkis and Cyprus as well as the Hellenic Theatre/Drama and Education Network and other Theatre in Education Organizations. She has collaborated as a workshop leader with the National Theatre and the Tricycle Theatre in London, as well as with cultural associations, theatres and schools in Greece. She has taught Theatre/Drama in Education seminars. In 2014 she published her book.
