Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Christos Rahiotis

Christos Rahiotis

Educator, actor, facilitator

Christos Rahiotis is an educator (Computer studies), permanent in Irakleio, Crete, an actor and facilitator, with a postgraduate degree in “Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Era” from the Ionian University. As an actor he has been active since 1995, trying different genres of theatre. He has also attended several seminars in Greece and abroad with main subjects being Physical theatre, Commedia del arte, Unmasking the Body, Le Jeux and Clown (Philippe Gaulier, Paris 2002) and more. Focusing on these techniques he has undertaken the facilitation of groups of various ages in Athens and Crete, as well as the direction of plays (DIPETHE - Municipal/Peripheral Theatre of Crete – Experimental stage of DIPETHE Crete). Regarding audiovisuals, apart from his educative role, he has served as an adjunct in the Educational Radiotelevision of the Ministry of Education (2010-2016, programme manager, operator, video editor), as a facilitator in educational programs, festivals and european projects, with the subject of film creation in schools. He is a member of the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) and a facilitator in the “it could be me; it could be you” project that is implemented by TENet-Gr in collaboration with UNHCR Greece.
