Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Georgia Tzilou

Georgia Tzilou

Educator, author

Georgia Tzilou graduated from the Department of Preschool Education and Educational Planning at the University of the Aegean and the Postgraduate Program "Studies in Education" of the School of Humanities at the Hellenic Open University of Patras. For a year she worked in private education, while from 2006 until today she works in public kindergartens. She has published in Panhellenic Conferences with international participation, in Magazines and websites. She prepares annual school activity programs and some of them were selected to be posted on the website of the Ministry of Education as examples of good practice. In addition, she has attended seminars and workshops on theatre in education and is a local coordinator in Messinia of the program "it could be me; it could be you" of the Hellenic Theatre/Drama and Education Network (TENet-Gr) in collaboration with the UNHCR Greece. Her work includes a book titled "Our Stories", in which she proposes educational practices of creative writing, and also an e-book with activities for kindergarten through two work plans based on the fairy tale "Glafkos and Iris" by the author Sofia D. Niniou
