Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Dutta Sisir

Founder Member and Executive Director of BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts) Bangladesh,

Sisir Dutta is a founding member and Executive Director of BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts). He is one of the noted Cultural Personalities of mainstream Theatre in Bangladesh. His role as a pioneer for the development of theatre for marginalized population and Theatre in Education for young population is aknowledged. Under his leadership and direction, BITA managed to reach the grassroots artists including the Ethnic cultural groups and individuals to bring them back to mainstream performance, and also revitalize and preserve extinct practices in an institutionalized way at BITA’s own resource centre. He also guided BITA Team to develop a number of training courses on Culture and Development, Theatre for Development, Theatre in Education, Human Right and Culture based Approach etc. He also conducted training courses at home and abroad. Finally, he attended International conferences, workshops and seminars in Asia, Europe, USA, Latin America and Africa on issues Culture, Development, Rights and Governance.
