Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Chowdhury Mousumi

Activist, Board Member of BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts) Bangladesh

Mousumi Chowdhury, a passionate grass roots activist, is the former Director of BITA and at present Board Member as long been working with the organization on diversified areas including Culture and Development, Gender based Violence and Women Empowerment, Human Rights Promotion. Currently she has extended her expertise on Violent Extremism especially Youth engagement in promoting peace and nonviolence. She leads and supports BITA team in implementing the conceptual framework of BITA through intervening number of innovative initiatives. She has been awarded for a number of fellowships, grants to participating in international training and courses.  Chowdhury was fortunate to be honoured as Key Speaker at Afro-Asain Institute of Gottingen University Germany on Women Empowerment Policies of Bangladesh. Being an IVLP (International Visitor’s Leadership Program) Alumni of US Department of States she engages with multi stakeholders on Human Rights Advocacy and Awareness program at home and abroad.
