Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network (TENet-Gr) in the 20th anniversary of its foundation (1998-2018), in partnership with the International Drama/Theatre & Education Association (IDEA) and in collaboration with a number of academic, professional and artistic institutions in Greece and abroad, is organizing the 8th Athens International Conference on Theatre and Performing Arts in Education.

Georgia Karagianni

Georgia Karagianni

Educator, School Activities Director, PhD candidate

Georgia Karagianni has studied English Language and Literature at the University of Athens and holds a Master’s degree in ‘’New Forms of Education & Learning” and in ‘’Language Education in Migrants & Refugees”, currently being a PhD candidate at the Hellenic Open University. She has also been specialized in Educational Psychology, Counselling, Drama in Education, Intercultural communication, Special and inclusive Education and teaching Greek to foreigners. As a teacher she has developed educational material and didactic techniques properly adapted for students on the autism spectrum and students with a migrant or refugee background. She has 15 years of teaching experience and she has been Head of the Department of School Activities in the framework of which she monitored school activities aiming at inclusion. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Department of Educational Affairs in the Directorate of Secondary Education of Karditsa and she is responsible for the operation of local schools (two special needs schools included) and the operation of integration classes for students with learning difficulties and behavioural issues.  She has been involved in many European projects both as the contact person and as the writer of the proposal, focusing on issues related to educational innovation, inclusion, personal and professional growth and strengthening of teachers, interculturalism, creativity etc.
