Short Biographical Notes

Irini Koumparouli graduated from the National Polytechnic School of Architecture in 2011, her master degree is in the  Postgraduate Programme: “Research in Architecture: Architectural Design - Space - Culture” in 2016 and as of today she is a Ph.D. researcher at the Architecture department of the National Technical University of Athens with main area of research the incorporation of performance codes in the structure, the interpretation and the meaning of space.
From 2011 until 2013 she studied in the Nelly Karra’s Drama School. As an actress, she has worked with directors such as Lili Meleme, George Hatzidakis, Elena Vogli, Monika Kolokotroni, and Katerina Skourli. Since 2005 she has been working, as an educator, on theatrical workshops for children and young people. In 2017- 2018, she organized a workshop in National Theatre of Greece for children aged 9 to 12 called: “From the City with Children to the City of Childern”. She cooperated with Sofia Vgenopoulou’s  theatre group «Grasshopper Youth» working with youth teams for the fifth, sixth and seventh Youth Theatre Festival, presented in the Onassis Cultural Center. Since 2005, she has cooperated with George Moshos, educator and former Ombudsman for children rights, in a theatre workshop for children aged five to seven. She has also worked with the organization EDRA to coordinate teams of drama therapy and theatre workshops in towns across Greece.  As a member of the Hellenic Theatre/ Drama &  Education Network, she has participated in a theatre project in the Second Chance school at Korydallos prison.

George Moschos, children's rights expert. 
Born in Athens (1957), he has studied Law in Athens and Criminology (M.Phil) in London. He was trained in the fields of adult education, youth work, self-awareness and drama for children. Since 1984 he has been working in Greece for the defence of children’s rights, prevention of young persons’ social exclusion, youth empowerment and re-integration and children’s expression through drama. He has a long experience of participation in European programmes and networks. In 2003 he was appointed as the first Deputy Ombudsman for Children’s Rights at the Independent Authority “The Greek Ombudsman” and was re-appointed three times in this position and served until January 2018 when he resigned. In 2006 he was elected as Chairman of the European Network of Ombdusmen for Children. He is co-author of books and articles on children’s and youth rights. 
Since 1984 he has been co-ordinating and animating many drama workshops for children of all ages and has used theatrical tools in various meetings with youth.
