& 6th Youth Summer Camp "Young Theatrical Voices 2013"
The 12th Theatre Summer Camp/Seminar return to the familiar island of Spetses from 22-27 July 2013, at Anargyreios School, next to the sea. Experienced artist-mentors, educators of all levels, theatre studies experts, actors and youth share stories that liberate, unite, communicate using as tools the mutltiple forms of theatre and other performative arts and their application in education. This 5-day route includes 2 experiential workshops, exercise, bathing, rest and - naturally - entertainment that will culminate with a farewell party.
Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network takes heed of the needs of our times so this year the 12th Theatre Summer Camp/Seminar is offering 2 workshops that attempt to approach contemporary burning issues. Hence Nicola Abraham, esteemed drama pedagogue from England will facilitate a workshop about school bullying and its prevention. Besides, bullying and conflict resolution - especially in the school environment - day after day proves to be one of the most important problems the educator is called to face today, both in school and in society in general. The second workshop, addressed to youth aged 17 to 23, is facilitated by director Anestis Azas, and deals with the "theatrical documentary, or else "reality theatre". The workshop's participants will get acquainted with this theatrical genre and its tools.
