Memou Stamatia was born in Athens. She studied Tourism Management at the School of Economics andBusiness Administration in Lamia, Greece.She holds a Master of Arts in Theatre Studies from the Open University of Cyprus. Her dissertation in on The Stereotypes in the Grimms’ Tales and Ways to Revision them through Theatre/Drama Techniques. She is a student at the Theatre Studies Department, Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Peloponnese. Shehasa teacher certification in Pedagogical Studies.
She has worked as an Assistant Dramaturg for Theodosis Papadimitropoulo’s play To Themselves[Προςεαυτούς, in greek]. She has participated at a voluntary program at the detention center in Nafplio with head teacher, mrs Alkistis Kondoyianni. She has worked for several years at the tourism industry. She has participated in seminars of Theatre Game and Dramatization, Educational Experiential Game in General and Special Needs Education, at theAttempts to Approach the Other - organized by the National Network for Theater in Education, Physical and Devised Theatre and etc. She has written the play Oxytocin[Ωκυτοκίνη, in greek].
